Billy Shaw is a Trainee Solicitor currently in the commercial and corporate department, he advises businesses on a range of commercial and corporate issues.

Billy is happy to assist you with buying or selling businesses, corporate mergers and shareholder agreements. Billy is also delighted to assist clients with the negotiation, formalisation and drafting of commercial agreements. Billy takes pride in the service he offers to his clients. Billy takes time to understand your business, in order to provide holistic legal and commercial advice.

Billy also has a keen interest in the firm’s business development activities. Billy attends networking events on behalf of the firm and has a keen interest in building business links with other professionals within the Nottinghamshire area. Billy also sits on Rotheras staff committee, social committee and has recently established the trainee committee. Billy has boardroom and business development experience through his non-executive directorship with JADE Youth & Community, a youth charity in South Yorkshire.

Billy takes great pride in his charitable work. During his time at university, Billy was heavily involved in a broad range of pro bono work with the Nottingham Law School Legal Advice Centre. Billy mainly represented clients in the Social Security tribunal, offering free advice and representation to some of the most vulnerable in our society. In recognition of his services, Billy was shortlisted for the LawWorks and Attorney General’s Pro Bono Awards “Best Contribution by an Individual Student” and was invited to the ceremony at the House of Commons. Billy also enjoys assisting with free legal advice clinics facilitated by Rotheras including clinics in Cotgrave and Derby.
