Emily Sherwood is a Trainee Solicitor in Rotheras’ Family department and is based at our Lace Market office in the heart of Nottingham City Centre.

Approach

As part of the Family Law and Child Care teams, Emily supports the department by handling new enquiries and giving initial legal advice, assisting with the preparation of cases and liaising with clients on a daily basis.

Emily understands that she is often dealing with clients at a stressful and emotional time in their lives and as a result she is approachable, open and honest, and empathetic about the situation, working in the client’s best interests while maintaining professionalism throughout.

  • Emily has previously worked as a Legal Advisor at the University of Derby’s Student Legal Advice Centre
  • Emily worked as a paralegal in the Family department of another local solicitors between 2019-2021
  • Emily joined Rotheras as a Trainee Solicitor in October 2021
