Ruth specialises in all aspects of family law and also has experience in specialist cases including clients undergoing transgender-realignment surgery, domestic violence cases and where children have been removed from the jurisdiction. Ruth also deals with the breakdown of relationships and the associated settlement of financial matters. In addition to this Ruth is an experienced advocate and can also advise on legal aid particularly in relation to matters concerning children and victims of domestic violence.
Ruth also has experience working with the financial elements of family law whilst also able to advise on children matters and also the niche area of transexual matters.
She describes her approach as straight-forward, honest and centred around making clients feel comfortable, she also tries to support the client to access additional referral services such as Women’s Aid and counselling where possible.
