Approach

As part of the conveyancing team Vicki helps advise clients on all parts of the conveyancing process, such as property sales, buying a house, transfer of equity, re-mortgages, liaising with mortgage lenders, estate agents and solicitors. She also deals with pre and post-completion matters, including stamp duty and land registry applications.

Vicki has over three years’ experience dealing with conveyancing matters.

Career Highlights

  • She joined Sharp Young and Pearce in September 2015 as a receptionist before the firm went on to merge with Rothera Dowson in 2016 to become Rothera Sharp Solicitors
  • Six months after joining Sharp Young and Pearce she started working in the conveyancing department, dealing with post-completion matters
  • Since 2018 Vicki has been working under partner Antony Fyson, assisting with all aspects of the conveyancing process

Care Quality Commission Maternity Survey

The Care Quality Commission (“CQC”) have released the results into a survey they conducted relating to the experience of women and other pregnant people who had a live birth in early 2023. The survey had national reach and responses were received from over 25,000, a response rate of 41%.

Animal penalty notices act

New penalty notices introduced for animal health and welfare offences

The Animals (Penalty Notices) Act 2022 is a new piece of secondary legislation which came into force from 1 January 2024. The act was passed following an 8 week consultation with various different parties with interest in animal welfare such as veterinarians, the National Farmers Union, the British Veterinary Association and the RSPCA.
